Review Feedback Highlights

I decided to try this grind and drip coffee maker for one. It makes a fresh, hot, great cup of coffee. One cup at a time is perfect for my morning cup with three choices of the ounce size. I’ll buy this coffee maker again, that grinds your choice of beans again.Strength of brew depends on amount of water used.

This product makes a great cup of coffee. I read reviews of other customers and they kept saying how messy this coffee grinder and coffee maker is. There is some coffee grounds after you have grinded fresh beans. Its all caught on the trey at the bottom. Wait for a few cups to be made before cleaning up the small mess of coffee grounds. For you OCD people clean as you go. It literally takes a few seconds to dump and wipe the grounds off. It’s like saying you will never cook in your kitchen again because the mess that was made on the stove. The only legitimate concern was people who want to change fresh beans ever few cups. There isn’t an easy way to change out fresh beans. Maybe they could put a small door at the bottom side and you could raise it to let gravity empty the bean chamber. I say just don’t put very many coffee beans in when you make a cup and see the amount you need to satisfy your preference in flavor/strength. I am very happy with my purchase. For the tearing of the k-cup pods, its because you haven’t lined up the white arrows on the plastic k-cup holder provided. This is the black plastic holder you remove to put the grey plastic fresh ground coffee into. When you place the grey holder for fresh ground beans make sure you have the lid open to receive the fresh ground coffee. The machine is smart enough to not continue grinding if the lid is closed not allowing the fresh grounds to enter the capsule and you will have hardly any grounds enter your grey capsule. Someone had mentioned reading the directions. This is a great grinder/coffee maker.

This, upon online viewing, seemed a great value. Simple design, small footprint, ability to store and grind beans and water were all great points! The main problem I see with the machine is its auto brew function. It seems to work as intended, but that is the problem. It is set to brew three specific amounts. The 8oz was measured at exactly 8 ounces which is good because that is what it is labeled, but what the manufacturers and designers did not seem to realize is that coffee cups usually hold 8 OZ. Who wants a cup of coffee where the coffee is to the brim and leaves no room for even the slightest tipping or bumping resulting in painful burns. This does not even account for those who like cream or sugar, which will clearly not even fit into the cup until some is removed. For an 8oz cup a maximum or 6 oz of coffee should be dispensed. As far as flavor it is on par with any brewed cup of coffee without the use of a paper filter. The filter provided with the machine works fine but you can always tell the difference between a disposable paper filter and a washable filter. The machine heats up and will brew a cup of coffee relatively fast. The auto shut off of 30 minutes seems very much excessive. The auto shut off should be instant because there is no heating to keep the coffee warm after it is brewed. So it should shut off automatically as soon as the brew process has completed. Waiting 30 minutes just seems like a complete waste to me. Overall I like the machine and I will be keeping it, although I hope if they decided to make changes they would send me a free machine because of the ideas I listed here. As far as recommendations it is really kind of iffy. If you drink coffee often and hate cleanup then this is a good machine.
